This is an antique German doll from the early 20th century, created in collaboration between C.M. Bergmann and Simon & Halbig, circa 1900–1908. A harmonious and expressive example with softly modeled features and a lively, engaging gaze.

She measures 23 inches (approx. 58 cm). A medium-sized piece with a pleasant presence, well suited for both display and collection.

The head is made of bisque, with clean, well-preserved painting and an even complexion. Her blue glass sleep eyes function properly, adding depth and natural expression. The open mouth with teeth enhances her lifelike character.

The bisque head is in excellent condition — free of cracks and chips. Along the rim, there are only minor traces of adhesive from a previous wig, a typical sign of age that does not affect overall presentation.

The wig is not original, likely synthetic, yet neatly styled and visually appropriate for her look.

She wears small earrings, adding a delicate and charming detail to her appearance.

The body is composition and in good condition. The stringing is firm, allowing the doll to hold a stable pose. All fingers are present. There are moderate, age-appropriate signs of wear consistent with the period.

Her outfit is thoughtfully assembled and stylistically coherent. The light-toned dress enhances her soft expression, while the small toy in her hands adds warmth and a subtle narrative element.

An atmospheric video with musical accompaniment was created especially for her and is available on YouTube, offering an opportunity to see her in motion and experience her character more fully.

All details and nuances are clearly shown in the photographs.

A well-preserved and expressive example with a clean bisque head and a balanced presentation — a doll that naturally becomes a distinctive part of a collection or interior

Where Every Doll Carries a Story

About the Creator / Gallery

Meet Yana Lamar

I am Yana Lamar, a collector and restorer who turned a late‑found curiosity for dolls into a carefully curated gallery of antique characters.

I seek dolls that carry quiet stories — France, German, Japan, American - bisque girls, shy companions from attics and trunks — and give them a second life with gentle restoration instead of perfection.

In this online boutique you will not find mass‑market pieces, only a small rotating collection chosen for their personality, history, and the feeling they bring into a room.
