Shipping Protection & Claims

Every order from Yana Lamar Gallery ships with transit insurance for its full purchase price. This page explains what that covers, what it does not, and what to do if a parcel arrives damaged or does not arrive at all.

How your order is protected

We ship with USPS and UPS through Pirate Ship and add InsureShield® shipping insurance (provided by UPS Capital) to every label, declared at the price you paid. The policy covers physical loss of, or damage to, the contents of the parcel while it is in transit.

What is not covered

  • Delays in delivery, and any indirect or consequential loss caused by a delay.
  • Minor cosmetic wear on pre-owned items (for example light scratching or scuffing) that is not the result of a transit accident.
  • Damage caused after delivery, including damage during unpacking.

Coverage is capped at $10,000 per UPS shipment and $5,000 per USPS shipment. Items above these amounts are shipped by UPS only.

If your parcel arrives damaged

  1. Keep everything. Do not discard the box, packing material or the damaged item. The insurer may ask to inspect them.
  2. Photograph it. Take clear photos of the outer box (all sides and any labels), the packing inside, and the damage itself.
  3. Contact us within 7 days of delivery through our Contact page, with your order number and the photos.

We file and manage the insurance claim on your behalf. You do not need to deal with the carrier or the insurer. Once the claim is approved we refund or replace the item, at your choice.

If your parcel does not arrive

Check the tracking link in your shipping confirmation first. If tracking shows no movement for 7 days, or the parcel is marked delivered but you have not received it, contact us and we will open a claim.

Insurance terms

The full policy wording is published by Pirate Ship: InsureShield Terms and Conditions for Insurance. Those terms govern the insurer's decision on any claim.
