Antique German Character Doll Kämmer & Reinhardt 116A Bisque Head Simon & Halbig 15
An expressive antique German character doll from the early 20th century by Kämmer & Reinhardt in collaboration with Simon & Halbig, mold 116 A — a sought-after example among collectors of antique bisque dolls.
Dating to circa 1909–1915, this piece represents the height of German doll craftsmanship and the naturalistic style of the character doll era.
She stands at approximately 15 inches a classic cabinet size ideal for both display and collection.
The doll features a finely modeled bisque head, with a soft, lifelike, childlike expression — a defining characteristic of German character dolls. The bisque is in excellent condition, free of cracks or damage, with well-preserved painting.
She retains her rocker eye mechanism, which is complete and intact. It is currently stabilized, though it may be returned to a sleeping-eye function if desired.
Mounted on a composition body showing honest age-related wear, consistent with a doll of over 100 years.
She is fitted with a vintage mohair wig, complementing her features and enhancing her authenticity.
The doll is presented in a carefully styled outfit that highlights her personality and creates a cohesive look. She is fully display-ready — a refined display doll suitable for both collectors and interior styling.
A particularly expressive and engaging piece — a collectible antique doll valued not only for its craftsmanship, but for its strong visual presence and emotional appeal.
An atmospheric video and a dedicated musical composition were created especially for this doll and are available on YouTube, allowing the piece to be experienced in motion.
All condition details are clearly shown in the photographs.

About the Creator / Gallery
Meet Yana Lamar
I am Yana Lamar, a collector and restorer who turned a late‑found curiosity for dolls into a carefully curated gallery of antique characters.
I seek dolls that carry quiet stories — France, German, Japan, American - bisque girls, shy companions from attics and trunks — and give them a second life with gentle restoration instead of perfection.
In this online boutique you will not find mass‑market pieces, only a small rotating collection chosen for their personality, history, and the feeling they bring into a room.
