This is a large antique German doll from the early 20th century by Heinrich Handwerck, mold 99 DEP, one of the most recognizable and sought-after models among collectors for its soft and expressive face.

The doll dates to circa 1900–1908, a period of high-quality German doll production and refined craftsmanship.

She stands at approximately 28 inches, giving her a strong visual presence and making her an impressive display piece for both collections and interiors.

The bisque head is of high quality, with finely hand-painted features. The bisque is in excellent condition — free of cracks and chips. There are light traces of adhesive along the wig line from previous attachment, which are not uncommon for dolls of this age.

The doll is fitted with beautiful blue glass eyes, adding depth and a particularly engaging expression.

The body is in excellent condition, well preserved and fully suitable for display.

She is fitted with a wig made of synthetic fibers, carefully chosen to complement her overall appearance.

The doll is presented in a thoughtfully composed outfit: antique clothing made of quality fabrics enhances her character and period. The look is completed by an elegant Gage hat, a refined vintage accessory that adds an additional layer of character and historical charm.

!!! An atmospheric video and a dedicated musical composition were created especially for this doll and are available on YouTube, allowing the piece to be experienced in motion.

All details and condition aspects are clearly shown in the photo

A large and expressive example combining early 20th century aesthetics, fine German craftsmanship, and refined presentation.

Where Every Doll Carries a Story

About the Creator / Gallery

Meet Yana Lamar

I am Yana Lamar, a collector and restorer who turned a late‑found curiosity for dolls into a carefully curated gallery of antique characters.

I seek dolls that carry quiet stories — France, German, Japan, American - bisque girls, shy companions from attics and trunks — and give them a second life with gentle restoration instead of perfection.

In this online boutique you will not find mass‑market pieces, only a small rotating collection chosen for their personality, history, and the feeling they bring into a room.
