Antique German Bisque Doll Kämmer & Reinhardt 53 Simon & Halbig Early 1900s Rare Collectible Doll for Sale
This is an antique German doll from the early 20th century, created by Kämmer & Reinhardt with a bisque head produced by Simon & Halbig, mold 53. A refined and expressive example, appreciated for its soft features and natural, lifelike presence.
She measures approximately 20 inches, offering a charming and well-balanced display size suitable for both collectors and interior settings.
The bisque head is of high quality and in excellent condition — free of cracks, hairlines, or chips. The surface remains clean and well preserved, with only minor traces of adhesive along the wig line from previous setting. Her blue glass sleep eyes function properly, adding depth and a gentle, lifelike expression. The pate is made of polystyrene.
Her ears are pierced, a characteristic detail of the period that adds to her authentic charm.
She is fitted with a wig made of natural hair, carefully styled and harmonious with her overall appearance.
The composition body has been restored: it has received a full, carefully executed repaint, and some elements and jointed parts have been replaced in accordance with original sizing. The stringing is good, allowing her to hold a stable and natural pose.
Her outfit is thoughtfully curated and complements her character, creating a cohesive and visually appealing presentation. Special attention should be given to her undergarments — delicate and well composed, they enhance the overall impression of care and completeness.
A dedicated musical composition and an atmospheric video were created especially for her and are available on YouTube, offering a deeper sense of her presence and allowing her character to be experienced in motion.
All details and condition aspects are clearly shown in the pictures.
A beautifully preserved bisque head combined with a carefully restored body makes this doll an attractive, display-ready example — a piece that brings both character and quiet elegance to a collection or refined interior
Where Every Doll Carries a Story
About the Creator / Gallery
Meet Yana Lamar
I am Yana Lamar, a collector and restorer who turned a late‑found curiosity for dolls into a carefully curated gallery of antique characters.
I seek dolls that carry quiet stories — France, German, Japan, American - bisque girls, shy companions from attics and trunks — and give them a second life with gentle restoration instead of perfection.
In this online boutique you will not find mass‑market pieces, only a small rotating collection chosen for their personality, history, and the feeling they bring into a room.
